Peter Couchman, (John Wong, Baritone), is a graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). He has performed with New York City Opera, Kentucky Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Aspen Opera Theater Center, Gotham Chamber Opera, and Oswego Opera.

Last season, he made his debut with the American Composers Orchestra at Carnegie Hall singing the role Dolabella in Barber's Antony and Cleopatra starring Carol Vaness. He has also appeared several times in concert at Lincoln Center with the American Symphony Orchestra, singing Kuchar/Kovar in From the House of the Dead (Janácek), Nemesis in Schumann's Manfred Symphony, Würfl in The Excursions of Mr. Broucek (Janácek), and several roles in Shostakovich's The Nose at the Bard Festival. Most recently, he returned to the New York City Opera fall 2004 to sing in their premiere of Haroun and the Sea of Stories.
